True to the DBZ series, created by Akira Toriyama, the Legacy of Goku II follows events from the Trunks Saga until the completion of the Cell Games. After the death of Gohan, assassinated by Androids 17 & 18, Trunks has no other choice but to go back in time, 16 years ago, to change the course of history. You will begin to assume the role of young Gohan before taking control of Piccolo, Trunks, Vegeta and Goku himself. Epic fights await you against tough opponents such as Dr. Gero, Androids 17, 18, 19 and of course Cell.

There are many characters in the game that you can play like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Gogeta, etc. and many Bosses that you will fight like Super Janemba and Kid Buu.

This game has a total of 12 Chapters taken from the anime beginning from The Other World and ending at A New Beginning.

The story begins after the recap of the Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku 2 where Gohan was able to defeat Cell by tapping into his deepest powers.

After years of Turmoil caused by the Androids, the Earth was back to Normal state, but during the battle, Goku lost his life in an attempt to defeat cell.

Goku’s friends and family thought of bringing him back to life with the power of Dragon Balls, but Goku decided not to return as the Earth is safer without him.

But even after the loss of Goku, the world seems to be in Peace without knowing about the horrible ancient thing that is about to be awakened by the Evil forces.

As the game begins you go for Other World Tournament in Grand Kia’s house where you fight the great fighter Pikkon from West Galaxy.

Features of Dragon Ball Z – Buu Fury

Defeat Enemies

As this game is taken from different episodes of the anime, therefore, you will have to go from a series of episodes like Majin Vegeta.

And in all these episodes you will fight different strong enemies that will try to either threaten you or somebody.

The first one will be found near the Grand Kai House, where they will try to bully you, and you have to fight them to go ahead in your journey.

To fight an enemy, you can either use your punch that works right for weak enemies, but for strong enemies, you can use your powers.

Powers like Ki Blast or Ki Wave(a.k.a. Kamehameha) can be used to defeat any enemy, but remember that these powers take Energy Point.

You can also transform to a Super Saiyan form by selecting the Z option in the menu that will increase all your specs like Attack and defence power.

As you go further in the game the level of enemies will increase and you will fight more powerful rival as you go further in the game.

In every chapter, you will fight at least a powerful boss like in the Other World Tournament; you will fight Pikkon whereas in Majin Buu(Chapter 7) you will fight Buu.

All the Bosses are stronger than the other rivals and have strong attack and defence power, so make your player to a Good level before fighting these strong competitors.

You can also change your character from the save point by selecting the Change Character option that will give you a list of characters that you can play.

These characters are – Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Gotenks, and Gogeta.

Most of them will be unlocked as you go further in the game; every character has a special attack that you can use to defeat rivals.

For instance, when Vegeta selected, you can fire a Big Bag Attack at the opponent that will drag them along with the Blast.

Also, when fighting strong rivals like Kid Buu, your Life can decrease to zero depicting your death.

So in conditions where your health/Energy point is low, eat an Item like the Dinosaur Tail or Dinosaur Milk to restore your Points fully.

There are several characters whom you will fight that are not your enemies like Videl whom you will compete during the World Tournament Saga.

Fight Bosses

There are a total of 12 Chapters that you have to complete before the game ends, and in every chapter, there is at least one Boss whom you will fight for a different purpose.

For instance, in Other World Tournament, you will fight Olibu and Pikkon for winning the World Tournament, but in Magin Buu, you will fight Buu for saving the world.

All the Bosses are different from average Enemies in terms of everything like the Attack and defence power so you will have a hard time fighting these rivals.

While fighting a Boss, you can transform into a Super Saiyan to further increase your energy and power(Attack and Defence).

If Goku is selected, you can also transform to Super Saiyan 3 that is also the second strongest form in this game after Gogeta.

During a fight, your health will decrease faster than in a normal fight so when your HP is low simply eat an Item from your Bag like a Chicken Leg to increase your HP.

Also, you can use many powerful attacks like the Ki Blast and Ki Wave in the Battle that will decrease your Energy points.

To increase your Energy Points(EP), you can either defeat an enemy or eat an item from the Bag like Super Elixer to replenish your energy a bit.

If you want to fight a Boss with some other character, then you can go to the Save Point and change your character before the fight begins.

Also, by fighting these powerful enemies, your player will level up faster than by fighting with an average enemy.

Play Different Character

There are several characters that you can choose to play with to complete a chapter or fight a Boss.

You can play a total of seven characters in the game – Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Gotenks, and Gogeta.

But every character is unlocked only after its first appearance has been made according to the anime.

For instance, while Fighting Super Janemba Goku and Vegeta turned to Gogeta and thus Gogeta is unlocked only after you fight Super Janemba with this form.

After unlocking any character, you can change your current character by going to a Save point and choosing the Change Character option.

Most of the characters have their own special powers like Goku has Kamehameha whereas Vegeta has Galick Gun to fight their rivals.

The strongest character in the game is Gogeta, and the strongest power attack is Big Bang Kamehameha performed by Gogeta.

You can transform all of these characters to a Super Saiyan and above to fight a rival, thus giving them more power.

Goku and Gotenks can go higher and transform into Super Saiyan 3 whereas Gohan and Vegeta can go upto Super Saiyan 2.

But Gohan also has a form higher than the Super Saiyan 2 that is called the Ultimate Form which is powerful than SS2 but weaker than SS3.

Goten, Trunks, and Gogeta only transforms into a Super Saiyan in this game as Goten and Trunks were not powerful to change further, and Gogeta didn’t need to.

Use Powers

You have to fight a lot of rivals in the game, either friendly battle or battle for saving the planet you have to win over rivals.

But to win over powerful competitors, you need something more potent than just a little punches and kicks, and that’s when Powers is required.

Powers are the Chi Power in all of the characters that will let them fire a powerful attack to fight a powerful competitor.

Ki Blast, Kamehameha, Galick Gun are some of the examples of Powers that your characters can perform to knock down an enemy.

Most of the characters will have their unique powers like Goku has the Kamehameha, but Vegeta has Galick Gun to shoot an enemy down.

With more compelling characters like Gogeta, you can fire mighty powers like the Big Bang Kamehameha, which is also the strongest power in the game.

When you use any power your Energy Points(EP) decreases and the powerful the attack, the more will be reduced.

To fill the Bar, you either have to defeat an enemy, or you can consume an Item like the Root Bear to increase your EP by a certain extent.

Use Items

As you go further in the game, you will find many Items and Equipment that you can collect and put in the bag to further use.

Most of the Items are Eatables like Miso Soup, Rice Ball, etc. that will increase your Hit Points(HP)/Energy Points(EP) to a certain limit whenever you want.

For instance, a Rice Ball increase HP by 40, whereas Soda will restore 80 Energy Points that will help you while fighting a strong rival.

As you level up in the game, your characteristics like Fight Power will increase, but apart from that, you will also receive a Stat Point.

By pausing the game, you can use that Stat Point to level up one of the characteristics like Strength, Power, and Endurance.

The best Item in the game is the Senzu Bean that can fully restore the HP and EP of your character.

You will find an Item/Equipment on the go at several places lying there until you go close and collect them.

After collecting an Item, it goes in your Bag that you can access anytime you want either during the regular gameplay or in a fight.
